To Logan County located in Western Kansas. As of the 2010 census, the county population was 2,756. The largest city and county seat is Oakley.

The county was named for General John A. Logan. Civil War General, U.S. Representative, Senator, and Author, Logan helped lead the call for creation of Memorial Day, and ran for the Vice Presidency of the United States. Even after his death in 1886, he had a tremendous personal following.
